How to get started on Solid Works

Description:

Basically solid works is a software which is used to inspect, build and modify a mechanical part.

The mechanical part can be modified according to the user requirement. The dimensions can be adjusted according to the requirements.

How to create a circular structure in solid works

1)

Step1)Open Solid works 2018 software by double clicking on it.

1)      Creating a basic sketch:

Step1) 

 In the sketch part click on the “ and then place the circle in the middle point of two axis by left clicking on middle point of two axis and moving the cursor.

  

      The circle can be of any dimension. It is advised to choose the diameter of circle more than   

   

    Repeat the first step. Draw the second circle by selecting “ first and second circle are from the same point.

Step4) 

  Select the diameter of the second circle less than the first circle. It is suggested to keep diameter      from  1.5in to 1.75in.

1)Creating a 3D model and Appearance:

Step1)

   Now, click on “  Exit Sketch ” and immediately click on “  Features  ” to select the features tab.

Step2)

   Select “ the 2D sketch to 3D.

Step3) 

  After the implementing the above step a small box at the left will appear. Here the thickness can        be changed to 0.45in.
